The Government's Green Deal - How It Works
Published Friday 5 April, 2013
The Green Deal is a new government initiative that has been launched to help homeowners and businesses in England and Wales to make energy saving improvements to their property, without having to pay the costs upfront.
The energy saving improvements that you can make under the Green Deal include solar panels, wind turbines, draught-proofing, heating, double glazing, and insulation such as loft or cavity wall insulation.
Basically, the Green Deal allows you to install new green technology in your home, and instead of paying upfront you will pay back the costs through your energy bill over a period of time.
There is also a cashback scheme as part of the Green Deal; it is a first-come, first-served offer where householders in England and Wales can claim cashback from the government on the energy saving improvements that they install!

We have now lived in the flat for 18 months totally problem free and we have no hesitation in recommending Dobson’s for any work large or small. Indeed I have had them back to install electricity in our garage.Mr & Mrs Osbourne
